On the accompanying industrial exhibition CRITEX was as usual present on its booth and demonstrated the newest MedITEX software solutions for the field of reproductive medicine, along with the special hardware for clinical use.

The new software MedITEX FAmed has been presented for the first time at the congress. Following a procedure developed by Prof. Dr. Geisthövel for the electronic acquisition of patients with Functional Androgenisation (FA), the software can diagnose the patient almost automatically and produce a report in a form of an official letter.

Specially designed for professionals from the German IVF clinics were different add-ons for MedITEX IVF software (marketed in Germany under the name “RecDate ADVANCE”). Among the new features which drew the most attention were the DICOM connector for transmission of ultrasound images and follicle measuring to MedITEX IVF, an RFID module for contactless identification of samples, materials and patients and a voice recorder with built-in reporting and  processing ability. The new “Double Witnessing” feature offers the possibility of double counting of the sperms and thus increased quality and safety on creating a spermiogram. The most interesting new feature was an integrated print-out of the treatment and treatment planning, neatly designed to fit one A4 page based on the experience of leading German IVF clinics.
